Kali - Bay 1998 Gelding (River Oak Fame x River Oak Silhouette)
Hume Creek Khalif came to me as a yearling after a sad beginning to my breeding program resulting in me having to put down my purebred colt by River Oak Fame at only a few days old.
Kali arrived as a shaggy yearling, leaving snow in NSW & arriving to a warm Western Australian Winter. In the coming months he turned into a maginificent show quality gelding picking up numerous supremes in led as a two & three year old.
Kali has surpassed all expections, he is an Australian Top 10 in ridden Bridlepath & Amatuer Led. He won the first ever championship sash for geldings at Sydney Royal in 2004. He was awarded Supreme Ridden Purebred at Hunter Valley Arabian A Grade show, only twelve months after debuting in ridden with Robyn Boylan of Currency Creek Arabians. Kali also took 6 of the 8 champions offered at the Arabian Affair weekend in led & ridden (Robyn rode & schooled Kali to all his successes in NSW).
Kali has returned from spelling & looks as beautiful as ever. Special thanks to Kathi of Catrin for looking after him.
2010 will see Kali stay in Western Australia with trainer, rider & friend Paula Sparre where he will return to the show ring & prepare him for the 2011 Australian Championships. After that he will come to spend the rest of his days at home living the life he deserves.
Truly a one in a million horse, he is my best friend & special part of the team - that special the stud was named after him!
